Back labor?

Question

I need back labor stories. I’m 39+4 and I’m having excruciating lower back pain, I’m in tears because of it and while my pregnancy has been far from comfortable, I’ve never been in tears over back pain. I’m at Walmart, I have to do some shopping and plan on picking up a heat pack to see if that helps, but Tylenol isn’t cutting it.

I had back labor with my first, she was faced side ways instead of faced down. I'm not for sure if that's the reason but I have heard it could be associated with one another. I had an epidural and could still feel every contraction. It was horrible!!! I always heard its worse than regular contractions. My second was breech so I had a C-section. so I'm not even sure what regular contractions feel like lol. Good luck!

I would never wish back labor upon anyone! My epidural did not work at all. The only thing that did work were sterile water injections they put in my back. If you end up having back labor ask for those! It hurts like a bitch when they inject them but it really helped with the back labor pain.

I had back labor, it actually wasn't that bad during labor, it was the uncomfortable feeling, like I needed to poo all the time. I developed hydrophrosis during pregnancy early on which I suffered really bad with back pain throughout, I kind of knew I'd have back labor. It started in the morning at 7am, kept getting waves of back pain that wouldn't ease. 7pm went to hospital and I delivered at 1:58am, total of 19 hours in labor.

I had 100% back labor. Didn’t feel any kind of pain in the front, it was bizarre to me! It felt like someone was grabbing my spine and squeezing harder and harder and then it would ease up. I did really well on it, especially sitting on a ball and leaning over onto the bed. I ended up w an epidural after about 24 hours w no end in sight, but I think if I progressed quicker I would have been fine without it.
