What do I really need on my baby registry?

Hey there! I’m a FTM working on my baby registry. I’m looking for advice on what to include. Which items did you consider must haves? And which items ended up being useless?

Diapers wipes, blankets, socks, burp cloths, mittens, bottles , baby towels, washrags.
People are gonna but what they want. 
Register for a few “expensive” but reasonable items for those who like to go all out!!

I had about 40 people come to one shower and about 10 people come to another. In total I think I got about 10 things I registered for. I didn’t even register for a crib and high chair cuz my husband’s grandma and great grandma told me they would get those items. I loved what they picked out! My mother in law got us a pack in play, not the one from my registry. I’m not picky and our nursery doesn’t have a theme. I’m happy and grateful for what we got!

The best advice I got from another mom ( I’m a FTM myself) is to put a box of each brand of diapers up here and then a single bottle of good brands for bottles because you don’t know how baby will take to each bottle or diaper or even wipe and those first few weeks is you basically learning what works for baby then all the other big stuff up there of course!
