I’m contemplating a home birth
Pros for me:
Cost effective
Son can be there
My own bed
No nurses waking me and baby to poke us
Unmedicated birth
My midwife would deliver my daughter
Cons:
Insurance doesn’t cover- still cheaper than hospital
May still be transferred to hospital
My mom thinks I’m batshit crazy
My question comes in how to switch providers in the middle of pregnancy. And what happens if I’ve already preregistered for the hospital?
