I would talk with your pedi. My son had a cough & sounded like he was getting a cold so my pedi gave me a sample of cough medicine & it worked wonders. So I would try to get samples off your pedi to see if it would work & if it does then you’ll know what to get at the store.

I'd say no otherwise I'd think your doctor would have told u what to give him if they wrote a prescription for a nebulizer. Try steamy rooms to help loosen the congestion, vicks, and humidifiers good luck. Hope he gets well soon.

My son had bronchitis at that age. I took him to his doctor and they have him a nebulizer and prescription for Albuterol for the breathing treatments. It helped so much. I was so relieved. Zarbees Baby products is also a really good brand for home remedies. Just check that it is for his age. Best of luck
