Ovulation test

Are ovulation invalid after a time frame like pregnancy test? The ones I got online say to read in 3-5mins but I feel like the pink dye hasn’t gone all the way through by 5mins. The testing area still has a pink hue to it. Since the shade of the test line is so important with ovulation test. I’d hate to get a false reading if it’s not done all the way. Or is the false reading if you “wait too long”? Is the darker line after the 5mins a false reading? Thanks for any input! 😃😃😃
