Chlamydia??

I just got a call from my doctor that at my STI screening that is mandatory for all pregnancies (i am 7 weeks) that my sample came back positive for chlamydia. Me and my significant other have been together for more that 3 years and also have a 6 month old together. He swears he has not cheated on me. If there a way that i could have a false positive? Or that the bacteria could have somehow been caused because of my pregnancy? We have had a three-some with 1 person since we got together but that was more than 2 years ago and nothing came up when they tested me for my last pregnancy. I REALLY wanna believe that he could never cheat but i am so emotional right now anyways and i just don't know what to think 😭

Unprotected vaginal, anal or oral sex is the only way to transmit chlamydia. Sorry love. I think it’s time to sit down with your partner and get to the bottom of this.

I've heard that chlamydia is often a false positive.  Get retested soon and also have your husband go get tested.

There is no way it came up negative last time and is positive this time, means he is sleeping with other people. End of story no if ands or butts about it.

This is going to sound dumb but how does chlamydia even get started? Like i get its gets passed from person to person but that bacteria has to start from somewhere right??

Maybe he got it from the three-some person but you didn’t, explaining why you originally tested positive. And then he transmitted it to you later. I doubt he’s cheating because even if was I think he’d be smart enough to use condoms...? But yeah, chlamydia has a lot of false positives / negatives I’ve heard, especially if they’re testing via urine.

Chlamydia often shows up positive for pregnant women, have them retest again! If not then definitely check your husband!

Unfortunately the only way you would have contracted it is if either of you were unfaithful :( 
This happened to my friend a couple of years ago. They had been together 4 years and had a 3 year old. They didn’t break up because of it but he finally admitted to cheating (when she got it) this summer.

Have him get tested, and you get retested as well. I have heard of false positives, but there’s no reason to freak out until you can verify whether it is or isn’t. If it is a real positive, there’s unfortunately only one way it was passed.

It’s my understanding that the only possible way you could have tested positive is by sexual contact with someone who has it... your significant other should probably get checked. If I were in your shoes I’d be a little suspicious
