Would it be weird to write a speech about this for college?

I have an informative speech due in two weeks. We can write about current events, celebrities etc. I think I’m going to write it about the Eminem & MGK feud 😂 because I know a lot about it from twitter, Instagram and everything. So it wouldn’t require tons and tons of research and I already know what I can say for the most part..

Would that be weird? Should I go with something more.. professional? Or whatever
