My 13 year old daughter has recently made friends with a 15 year old boy and I'm not sure if I should let it continue. She's a very careful girl and has assured me that she doesn't trust him yet, and they only chat on Instagram and see each other twice a week at a supervised drama group. I'm not sure what to do.

I was friends with sixteen year olds when I was thirteen. As long as adults are aware and the kid doesn’t go anywhere secluded, it’s fine.

Yes, I think it is fine, but if you haven't already, you should consider having a conversation with her about what is and isnt safe. It's not that she would do anything or even that she may find herself in this situation. They could just be friends. But one day she will need this information. And sometimes girls find themselves in need of advice fairly early into their teens. Arm her with information to make good decisions in the future. Let her know that if he asks for anything inappropriate or asks her for pictures that she should not send anything or do anything, even if she comes to trusts him. Explain the potential consequences and explain that there are some guys who will make you feel loved but it will all be a lie and that it's not safe to have interactions like that until she is much older.
