Periods while pregnant?

Okay so I had a pregnancy scare a few months ago but I got my period and I didn't think anything well since then I've had extremely heavy periods but I'm still having symptoms of pregnancy but because I've had my period I didn't think anything of it. Ive had morning sickness, cramping and discomfort in my lower stomach area, even my boyfriend said my boobs and nipples look bigger and joking mentioned pregnancy and then we both had panic because my friend told me you can have your period while pregnant. Have anyone of you had this happen or maybe a different reason I'm feeling this? I know I can take a test but I'm scared
