Best excuses for not drinking?

I see my best friend approximately once a month and we always have a glass of wine when we go out to dinner. Obviously this month I can’t have a glass, but I’m too early to tell anyone yet. We also have some family events coming up in the next month in wine country, so I need lots of excuses for not drinking! Last time I told everyone that I gave up alcohol for Lent, but the timing doesn’t work out this time for that excuse. Please help! What excuses have you used?
