Anyone know what this is or have this too?

So I have what looks like basically a red skin moustache. You can’t see it in all lighting but most lighting it is very obvious, with some lighting it looks absolutely horrendous (like in this picture). I’ve had it for a while and in the past 6 months or so it seems to have gotten twice as bad. Close up you can see that I have tiny spider veins but it’s not completely full of them. Saw my doctor and he said it looked like melasma but I’m not 100% sure I believe that so I am going to see a dermatologist but cant get in for another year. I find when I exercise or get upset or something it gets even darker. I can’t find any makeup that completely covers it because when I do wear makeup on my entire face it just continues to still look darker there than the rest of my skin. Anyone else have this or have any ideas? And no harsh comments please. I absolutely hate this it’s all I see when I look in the mirror and it’s become an unhealthy obsession for me. 😭
