Is morning sickness genetics from our mother's?

I have zero symptoms besides here and there. My mom had no symptoms with her pregnancy with twins and my older sister. With my brother she did. Is it genetics?

I highly doubt that it’s genetics because all females in my family never had anything and I have every possible pregnancy symptoms lol

No. My mom was sick as a dog and she is actually mad that I never threw up with any of my pregnancies. She said it isn’t fair.

If your mom had morning sickness, you're more likely to get it. But morning sickness can vary from person to person and even pregnancy to pregnancy. My mom had severe morning sickness, and it turns out I'm one of the lucky ones who gets to experience extreme morning sickness too. 😣

So far my pregnancy has been identical to my moms pregnancies. No morning sickness but extreme fatigue first trimester. My first food aversion apparently was hers as well. Didn’t know any of this stuff until after it was happening to me, just so weird!

There appears to be a genetic component, but It could come from your father too.  I didn’t have morning sickness but my mom did, so who knows who’s genes I am running on.

My mom never had morning sickness & super easy pregnancies. I literally had the toughest pregnancy, I had the worst morning sickness on top of it, the ENTIRE time. The had to medicate me because I was so sick I was losing weight & my hair was literally falling out. I think its just luck of the draw how your body reacts to it.
