Accidentally overheated??

Question

I just took about a 5 minute bath. My husband always says I like the water hot, but to me it’s comfortable. I’m 8 weeks pregnant and after 5 minutes I was sweating and faint so I immediately got out and laid on the cold bathroom floor and chugged some ice water. Is my baby ok?? I so did not mean to do that and now I’m so worried.

You’re fine. Happened to me last pregnancy. Our bodies heat up more quickly it seems. Just take a cooler bath or none at all. If you have to... measure your temp. It’s not supposed to go over a certain degree to keep baby safe

They say not to go in hot tubs/hot water for a reason.. Heat can cause birth defects. 
Be careful with the temp.

I think as long as you cooled off once you realized you were overheating, you are ok. I think it has to be an extended period of time for it to harm baby.
