What are your expectations?

Question

When “dating” or talking to someone new, how often do you expect to talk? 
I personally expect as much as possible but I’m starting to think that that is not normal lol. I’ve talked to a new guy for about a week so far and he talks to me either ever other day or a few minutes a day but is a really nice and sweet guy. Can’t tell if that’s “normal” or not. Can’t tell if he’s blowing me off or if I’m really just crazy 😂
He is a pipeliner and I drove 4 hours just to see him last Monday. He comes home on the weekends which is around 30 mins from me but didn’t ask to hang out or do anything. But he’s also a dad and has his daughter on the weekends so not thinking too much into it. 
Am I crazy 🤔. There was a day between the top two texts.
The day I came back from visiting, he texted me 4 times and messaged me on messenger before I responded. And now it’s a few times a day or every other day.

It’s been nearly 4 years since I was on the dating scene but when I was dating guys we would always text on and off throughout the day when we had time around work. 
Even now with Hubby we text nearly every day at some stage even though we live together.

I think it's different for each person. my bf and I talk from the time we get up in the morning til we go to bed. he texts me at work on all 3 of his breaks. and when he gets home. he gets upset if I dont answer him right away. he is a person that will text 5 times in a row if he doesnt hear from me in an hour. But all my past relationships they didnt text me alot.

I dated a guy that was a pipe liner and he’d call me every day on his break. Then when he didn’t have his kiddo he would come see me. I never had to drive to him. He wasn’t a texter but like I said he called all the time. 
I would just ask him if he’s interested in actually dating or not. Get it over with.

Each person is different. Some people can’t deal with silence, others love it. Apparently you both are on the different ends of that spectrum. Don’t compromise, find somebody who compliments your personality. You will be happier in the end.

Everyone is different. Some people like to text all the time and others don’t. Some married people text and call constantly when they’re apart and others only speak when they’re around each other. Judging from the conversation I wouldn’t be worried, I just think he’s a busy man. Also if he has a daughter, you’ll never be his number 1 priority, no offence.
Personally I don’t like it when people text me all the time, but I’m a person who likes my space.

My husband is an inspector. He can’t talk much during project. If he can he FaceTimes me or calls.
Everyone is different though. He drives home every time he is able to but sometimes he works 7 days a week.
