UTI - Is it normal to have during pregnancy??

Is it normal to have UTI during early pregnancy? Also I’m going to ask my doctor but is it safe to take extra strength azos?

Yes! When pregnant with my 1st 2 kiddos I had UTIs a lot with each of them. I’m 22 weeks pregnant with my 3rd & I have had 4 UTIs! Antibiotics work but I have had to up my water intake & make to sure empty my bladder completely. I have interstitial cystitis which is painful bladder syndrome so I get UTIs more often. My bladder pain goes into remission after child birth but I take Azo for the pain. My OB has no issue with me using Azo as needed since it’s category B in pregnancy ❤️❤️ Drink lots of water. I take a supplement called D Mannose which is a natural sugar found in fruits that we don’t digest. It goes straight to the bladder & flushes out e-coli. It’s amazing!! All natural to! Hope this helps & sorry I wrote so much.

Yea I had one at 9 weeks, the doctors gave me medication and told me to drink a lot of water and I’m fine now !
