To know or to let it be another surprise?

Question

I have an anatomy scan tomorrow and I really wanted to know the gender of my twins but my mom said she never found out with any of her babies. I already have two names picked out for each gender. Lots of people say it was the best surprise to find out at birth. What do you momma's think?

With my first i waited until birth. It was so exciting to push the baby out and get this huge surprise. I also only ended up buying gender neutral stuff so im stocked for all future kids. 
With this pregnancy i found out gender. I feel connected to this baby in a different way since im able to call her by her name. 
So theres advantages to both ways

We decided not to find out because we wanted the surprise at birth. Also to avoid people from only buying us gender specific things because we plan on having more kids after this one! I also didn’t want people to give us all their opinions on names and whatnot so this will help with that too. The surprise at birth will be fun and it’ll be more fun to announce it’s a girl or it’s a boy to our family and friends when baby arrives!

I think you do what you want to do. My mom didn’t find out for either of my or my sibling either, but she says a lot of that had to do with the fact that technology wasn’t as advanced back then so it was kind of up in the air whether or not it was right! I plan to find out and don’t feel it’s going to take any of the joy away from the day I get to hold my baby for the first time.
