In a world full of interesting names and unique spellings, anyone else keeping it traditional and passing on family names? 🤷🏻‍♀️

We are from South Carolina, and our baby girl will have a double name, Mary Egan. Egan is my mother’s maiden name (her first name is also a double name with Mary) , and it’s also my middle name. If we had a boy we would have given him my husband’s middle name, which was his grandfather’s first name. 
No judgement, I see so many wonderful names on here, and am just curious what people prefer! Congratulations mamas! 💓

My boy will have my great grand fathers name Léopold 
My children are taling only my husbands last name so I wanted to keep something from my family in their first names

Not sure about the name for this baby. with my first we did a new/unique twist on a family name. my husband's grandmother was named Lorraine, my daughter is Raynee.

We are very traditional too. My sons name is james michael, my husbands middle name and my dad's name. Our upcoming little one is olivia which is my middle name

Our son’s first name will be Cameron. There’s no other history of that name in either family but it does relate to the Scottish ancestry and we just like it.
His middle name will be Alex (pronounced “Alec”...it’s a Nova Scotia thing according to my wife). It’s also her dad’s name.
My wife kept her last name so her last name will be our son’s second middle name because we didn’t want to saddle him with a hyphenation of our two names. It’d be a mouthful. It also creates her dad’s full name as, essentially, his middle name. I think that’s a touching tribute.

I’ve named both of my girls after family members. Haylie Mychelle is after my mother Mychelle and Randi Arlene is after both my dad Randy and my great grandmother Arlene.

My son's name is Owen John. Owen is my partner's grandma's brother's name and John is my partner's middle name, my dad's middle name and my greatgrandfathers name (that was a lot 😅). My daughter's name is Ruby Elliot just because we liked it. This baby doesn't have a first name yet but middle name will be Malcolm after my partner's grandfather.

If I had a family name I liked I would have loved to use it. I was one in a hand full growing up as Sarah Miller, now Sarah Johnson. So I wanted my son to be unique(ish). His name is Kaden Ruger, and baby sister that I’m pregnant with now will most likely be Lily(or Lilly) Marie which is more traditional

Both! My daughters name is Starr and it’s a family name. Middle is Clara, also a family name. This baby will have middle name of Jean or Margaret both family names but her first name will be way out there. Spelled “correctly” but likely a word or nature name.

With my first baby I named her Annabella Desire'e Lee. 
Desire'e and Lee are both of my middle names, and Lee is a pass down middle name for years! So I gave her my middle names. 
I'm pregnant with my second, and it's a little boy, I fell in love with the name Alexander, but didn't want the spelling to be the same as everyone else and couldn't find a middle name is liked with the spelling, so I decided on 
Alekzander Poseidon as his first and middle name 💜
