Can any of you other ladies with pcos help me out?

This post might have TMI but it has good reason.

So I started on metformin. My doctor said it might help with my weight loss struggles, get my period on track and resist diabetes, thus helping me get pregnant. Sounded like an awesome magical pill. And then I took it and I never have been so sick in my life. I was puking and I had diarrhea really really bad. Like it kept me up at night. Is there alternatives to metformin? Did anyone else have these side effects? What was your way of dealing with the side effects? Did they go away?

I just cant imagine I'm supposed to spend the rest of my life like this. and it's kinda hard to ttc when you're always on the toilet to be honest 🤷‍♀️
