Anyone else feeling depressed after finding out the gender of the baby?

I know it seems terrible to say, and ill get over it when i get to see him and hold him in my arms. But I found out a week ago what the gender of my baby is and I've been crying constantly since and have been so depressed. Is anyone else going through this?

I really wanted a girl as I have a boy already and we were set on this being our last. I think that made it worse this time as I feel like I have to give up my dream of a daughter. Not sure I want a third in case it’s another boy don’t want the disappointment 😢

I’ll update you tomorrow! I have my heart set on a girl. I really hope the baby is a girl. I’m sorry ur dealing with this, but from what I read it’s normal. Maybe buy a boy outfit and start doing the nursery boyish and that will help?

I definitely struggles with this.  It does get better, and I know when he comes i will forget any disappointment. I suggest doing a little shopping for gendered baby clothes or toys, that helped me get excited.

I feel the same way.  I have two daughters already, who I absolutely love, but this third baby is our last and I refuse to find out what I'm having because if they tell me I'm having another girl I'm going to be depressed the rest of my pregnancy.  They did an ultrasound yesterday and I swear I saw something I never saw before so I told my husband and now we have our hopes all up that it's a boy & I keep thinking "but what if it's a girl?" It's totally normal to have your heart set on a certain gender, but once the baby comes all that will be out the window.... we just have to get there 😩

This is how I felt when I found out my first baby was a girl. I burst out in tears at the gender reveal, and they weren't of joy! I never felt so shallow before but the hormones were crazy. I didnt know what to do with a girl as I have five brothers and all 18 of my cousins are boys. I didnt know how to act like a girl myself! 
Fast forward, I absolutely love my daughter and we found out that this one is also a girl and I was so freaking happy! 
I dont think it's wrong to feel upset and depressed about it.

I am! I cried yesterday, got really frustrated.
Somehow I feel really bitter about it. 
I didn’t want to have a girl, and now i won’t have my desired boy. 
I know I’ll love her like insane when she’s born. But for now I want to feel my sadness about it.

I was extremely depressed the day we found out and for 4 days after. I could barley function. I wouldn't say im depressed now(I'm a week out) but still disappointed. It's hard to let go of dreams you may have had.  Don't let anyone make you feel bad about it.  Gender disappointment is a real thing and it takes a bit to get over.  I just keto focusing on healthy baby is all that's important. Hang in there.

I'm very thankful to have another healthy boy on the way, but I am a little sad it's not a girl this time around. I just don't think my husband is going to be up for another go round, and neither are our finances.
