on may 11 I was with the guy I was dating for a while and we had never done anything sexual before or after this but we were watching a movie we were like laying down and he ya know starting putting it in and I like went into shock and I didn’t say anything yes or no and after like 5 minuets of me just laying there I like stopped it and got out of the bed and went to the bathroom and acted like nothing happened I haven’t told really anyone but when I do they say it’s like rape but I feel like it my fault that I didn’t say anything or maybe i gave him the wrong idea or something and I don’t want to get him in trouble i’m just so confused

I don’t think it was rape.. I do think he probably should have been paying more attention to your mannerisms and picked up that you were just laying there.  But you did say you stopped it and I’m assuming he didn’t try to continue the act.   I think it boils down to communication in this instance.  Just know that at ANY point it’s okay to say “you know what, no, we should stop” and they need to respect that.

You didn’t say no or try to push him off so how would he know it was unwanted? Also how did he just put it in? You had to have been in position for that to happen.

If you didn’t consent to it, it’s technically considered rape although you may not fully consider it to be. I recommend talking to him about it or if you don’t want to talk to him, talk to someone else (family/friend) about what happened.

I mean you would hope he can be able to read that you are uncomfortable with it. But if you didn’t tell him no then he didn’t really force himself on you. I think you need to talk to him about it though. And tell him how terrible it made you feel and that you aren’t ready for that. Sorry you are going through that sweetie. If you aren’t comfortable with family maybe talk to a friend or just anyone you are comfortable talking about it with.  Definitely be great to have some sort of support.
