Should you get the flu shot?

I know there have been a lot of questions about this and discussions in this group. This is simply FYI. Not intended to scare anyone. This is simply why the American CDC recommends flu shots every year.

The bad flu that hospitalized and killed most people last year, the really bad strain, was not included in the vaccine. I have am adult cousin who almost died from the flu vaccine  (luckily she wasn't pregnant, but now she can't have more kids) and I don't work with the public, so for those reasons I opt out of it.

Im all for vaccinations, but not the flu shot. No one in my house has gotten the flu shot including my 2 year old and my husband who works with the public and no one in our house has ever gotten the flu.

Get one every year. I skipped one year and got the flu and nearly died. Everyone in my household had the shot, including my husband, and he was literally taking care of me and sleeping next to me and himself, nor did anyone else in my house got it.

But the flu shot is not the same strain as what you’re going to get vs what’s in the syringe. It’s a guesstimation and I’m not about that life. Let your body do what it’s naturally supposed to do and fight it off.

no thank you.. its our least effective vaccine (around 23%). They can guess all they want to predict the correct strain but it can change. So no..
