Nausea medicine put me in the hospital!

I am 18 weeks and have been very sick my entire pregnancy. I was prescribed zofran and it worked pretty good until I hit about 14 weeks so my ob prescribed phenegan and that helped with the vomiting but not the nausea. Friday my ob prescribed compazine which worked amazing but on Tuesday I started having vomiting fits where I couldn't stop gagging and it got to the point where I passed out. Wednesday morning I was still vomiting had intense stomach cramps, diarrhea, shortness of breath, lightheaded and felt very shaky and unstable so I headed to ER. My blood pressure was 155/105 so they got that and my nausea under control but they decided to do an EKG just to make sure there weren't any underlying problems. My EKG came back abnormal with a long QT and irregular heartbeat so they admitted me. They gave me magnesium and several bags of fluids and took another EKG which was still irregular but improving. Today they did another EKG and an echocardiogram which came back normal! The cardiologist believes that I am sensitive to the medication plus I was very dehydrated from vomiting so much so these factors threw off my heart rate. Please be careful taking medications and remember to tell your doctor if your having any abnormal symptoms, if I didn't get in here and continued to take the medicine I could have passed out, gone into atrial fibrillation and died. It's better safe than sorry so if you think you may need to go to the ER GO!!!!
