Getting Induced Tonight - any tips?!

Question

I’m a full week past my due date so Dr. wants to induce to make sure baby gets out ok. Any tips for making an induction smoother? Things you wish you brought with you? Anything helps!!

Eat before you go!  My hospital let me eat almost the whole time, but a lot of hospitals wont let you eat.  I went in on a Friday night and didn't have him until Sunday morning! I did everything they recommended and it went smoothly, just took a while.  Once I started pushing only took about 45 minutes! Good Luck!

Induction can be a long process so try to get as much rest as you can today. It’s hard to sleep in the hospital plus you’ll be full of anticipation but you need all your strength for delivery. 
Make a list of any last minute things you need to grab before heading out the door (phone charger, toothbrush, etc).

Make sure you eat alot before going in i know my hospital as soon as yoyr admited in there your on ice chip diet until baby is born

Yes move around for sure!! Walk as much as possible and get up in your room and move however is comfortable. Did not let them make you stay in bed, unless there is an actually medical reason you should. ☺️ I went in with my first when contraction got to where I couldn’t sleep and I was 4cm!! I kinda didn’t know before I went in if it was active labor or not so I wanted a bit. And they let me walk around and before I was going back to my room my water broke in the hall wat lol so it helped!

People say this a lot but it really does help to move around. It’s so much more painful to be laying down

Have a good meal before u go in. And sleep as much as u can.
