This is something I’ve been thinking about since our first loss. I’m 7.5w now and I really hope we get our rainbow this time.

I think I’d like to foster either way though. In some ways because adoption fees make it impossible for us, but even if it is only for short term I’d like to give a child a safe space.

Assuming all goes well with this pregnancy I would wait a few years but I just read a post on FB in response to the Supreme Court nomination hearings. #whyididntreport. Dozens of accounts and close to half of them mention criminal foster situations where the foster parent themselves were the offender or where the Foster parent witnessed the act and did nothing.

Has anyone here fostered? Curious to hear experiences good and bad. I’d like to foster younger children, maybe up to 10?

I mostly work from home with occasional travel 2-3 days per month. Husband commutes to the city for work.
