oxytocin

had my son 13 days ago and a couple of days ago i had to stay in hospital for sudden heavy bleeding and passing a clot literally bigger than my fist. the blood was gushing out to the point i didn’t know my body could hold so much blood! they put me on an oxytocin drip to control it and sent me home the next day. does anyone know how the bleeding should be after that? mine is bright red and like a heavy period but nothing like before i went into hospital! tia x
