When did you announce your pregnancy?

I has a miscarriage in June so I definitely want to wait until second trimester to start announcing to people. However we might tell parent’s around week 8-10. My mom and sister know because I felt like I would have so many questions and needed to tell my mom right away, but I think we’ll wait until week 8-10 to tell my dad and my in laws. 
I’m only 4 weeks and 4 days right now.

I had two miscarriages. When I got pregnant the third time, I told my parents in the first trimester but I didn’t announce it to anyone else until after the anatomy scan at 20 weeks. I wanted to make sure the baby was healthy after experiencing two losses before telling people.

With both pregnancies we told everyone we wanted to tell right away. I waited till 12 weeks to announce on social media with my first.
This time I don’t have social media anymore, so that makes things easier. But we told everyone at like 4-5 weeks anyway cause 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’m not a secretive person so if I have a loss I’m not worried about people “knowing” or having to tell people. It would suck but it’s real life and I believe in being open. This pregnancy is high risk so if anything should happen I want this baby to have existed for as long as he or she actually existed - not to keep him or her a secret.

Told family at 12 weeks, work around 15 (my direct boss + her boss and close coworkers - I didn’t stand on my desk and announce it) and will tell social media/rest of the world next Friday after my 20 week scan. All is good so far but I’ve just enjoyed keeping it to myself and a small group for a while!

I've had 4 miscarriages all before 9 weeks. This time, any time we have told people, we started out with "We dont know if I will be able to carry this pregnancy to the viable stage due to my history of miscarriages, but..." This time when I got pregnant, I told my sister in law and my best friend as soon as I found out (sis in law so she could give me ideas on how best to surprise my husband, and bc she is also pregnant after a miscarriage, and best friend because I was freaking out) my husband told 2 of his friends the very same night after I told him. About a week later, I saw my doctor and she put me on progesterone because those levels were low, but my hcg was high, and then I went to my first obgyn appointment and got good news, so then we told moms and my dad and step dad. If my father in law never learns about our baby, that would be heavenly! I hate him! Some of my family members have found out here and there when I've updated my mom on my appointments (they've been once a week or less) but for the most part, no one knows aside from who we told, except for my brother in law's blabbermouth ex girlfriend because my bro in law is stupid and told her because she acted like she knew. And who knows who all she has told already. I'm 11 weeks and some change, and my husband wants to tell everyone else at 12 weeks or later. We haven't agreed haha. I'm thinking we will end up telling grandparents and aunts and uncles after my checkup on Thursday, and then we will probably wait to tell anyone else for a while, just to avoid drama. Maybe 16 or 20 weeks (day after Halloween, and day of thanksgiving)

After our loss we told family about our rainbow at 6 weeks because I was so sick and couldn’t hide it-would have preferred to wait until we heard the heartbeat first. We told the rest of the world at 12 weeks after our checkup

My first pregnancy we didn’t tell anyone except my best friend and we announced to my mother in law right before we had a miscarriage at 9 weeks. Was going to tell my parents the next weekend but instead I had to call and give bad news. This time when we got pregnant, we decided to go ahead and share with parents only (and my sister) because I want to be able to share the joy of this pregnancy with them unlike last time which was the worst call I’ve ever had to make to my parents. If something goes wrong again, we only have to tell them.  But everyone else won’t know until after the first trimester.

I was 8 weeks when I told my parents. We were 12 weeks when we told my husband’s parents and we were 17 weeks when we announced it on social media.
