Crush or nah?

So I'm 16 and have a crush on my friend (age 16) since we were 6! There r moments when our other friends can sense that we both consider each other "close" friends 😏.

I really like him but it's sometimes weird cuz I go to a girls school but since he goes to coed he's got many of female friends. I don't know if I read his signals wrong eg he stands next to me and basically gives me lots of attention in group gatherings where there are his friends. Not OURS, but HIS. I think that since he's around his own group yet tags along with me, maybe he's hinting at something...

Or maybe I'm just desperate. Btw he's not like that with OUR common friends, just me 😝

If this is his way of hinting me what shall I do? Say?
