Is this title prejudice?

Esther • I’m better than horrible. EMT and Respiratory Therapist

Please, I’m not here to debate or argue, looking for actual answer with explanation because I want to learn.

Some coworkers were arguing if this article title is prejudice towards white people. One coworker said it’s not because it’s meant to educate. The other said it is because “you can’t have a title saying ‘things that annoy me about black people. ‘ “

You can find it on Entertainment Weekly.

Nope. I am white and I could give you an endless list of things that annoy me about white people.

If it said ‘things that annoy me about black people’ everyone would go crazy. So yes, it’s wrong, yes, it’s a double standard, and yes, if it’s racist the other way round, then this is also racist.

Ok, with some prior knowledge and some researching, I found this. Yes, that title does demonstrate racial prejudice but it is not racism. Because of the systemic relationship of power, white privilege, and more, there is no such thing as racism against whites. While racial prejudice is awful, and even prejudice against whites isn’t condoned, we cannot compare it to systemic and institutionalized mistreated of people of color at the hands of white people for hundreds of years.
