Has anyone had their dad in the delivery room? How did that go??

I would really like my dad to be in there, im not sure if he would want to be in there or not. I doubt it, considering out of 3 births he was only at mine.. but I’m a major daddy’s girl, and whenever I’m hurting or in pain I always want my dad or request for him.. 
of course if he agreed to it I would have him up at my head and not down low.. 
I’m not pregnant yet, but am trying..

I had my dad with me when I had my son. He has 3 kids and was there for all the births and he is my biggest support system.. 
he was in total shock at how awesome I handled it.. from beginning to end he just kept saying “holy shit! You make this look easy” then he held up my sons father when he started fainting

if my dad was still alive he’d definitely be in there with me, like you he was always my one request when i was in pain and i was a huge daddy’s girl

I know my dad personally wouldn't be comfortable with it during delivery. He was in the room (my mom too) for maybe 10 minutes while I was laboring and he said it was really hard. He's always told me it was hard for him when my mom was in labor bc it's difficult to watch someone you love in such pain. 
Also for me, it's a special time between my husband and I so I only wanted him in there.

My husband was away for a month up until my due date with our first. My dad came to stay with me and would have been my birthing partner had my husband not made it back. Its totally dependent on your relationship and if you’re both comfortable then go for it!

I didn’t have my dad with any of mine but did have my mom. My dad and I have a good relationship but not really that kind of relationship. No one can tell you who should be in the room but you! If you’d like him in there then ask.

My dad was gonna be in the room with me. And so was my SO dad, my brother, his sister and both our moms. But I had a c section so they were in the room when I was out of recovery

I'm not sure if I would have my dad there, haven't decided, but if you are going to want him there than have him there... anything to make you more comfortable. ❤
