WARNING: Long Post

Feeling like I need some serious support. My fiancé of 2 years just broke of our engagement this weekend while I was on vacation with some friends in L.A. We had been going through a rough year but I thought we were working through our issues. He then asked for a break in August so he could figure out what he wants for his future. (We’re both in university and I’ve known what I want to do for years. But, he has switched majors a few times and bounces between jobs because he wants to find what he’s passionate for.) while he went on the break he moved out of our house to Calgary for his work. what I don’t understand is last week he was begging me to come down and see him and work things out, and that he loves me and misses me and just wants me with him. We were talking every single day until Thursday. Then Friday I had, had enough because he was being cold again and asked him what the heck is going on with us. After a 2hr conversation while I was on vacation he said he loves me and doesn’t want to lose me but needs this to be a break up. Like I don’t even understand how you go from needing someone to not even wanting to be with them. If someone has some insight please share because I am at a loss for what to do.
