Did your LO take frozen breast milk with no problem?

I start work next week and I have a good amount of pumped milk in the freezer that I am going to thaw and have fed to baby when I’m at work but I want to know did your little ones give you a hard time with this? Did they taste the different between thawed milk and fresh milk? I am going to do a test run this weekend before I start Monday

My daughter will take both but definitely prefers fresh. The only day we use frozen milk is Monday and she rarely takes all 3 of her bottles that day. The rest of the week I send the milk pumped the day before and she finishes all of it

Freezing and thawing breast milk can have a impact the taste and smell of it. Sometimes you’ll even notice that after defrosting, the milk may smell funny. Breast milk that has a high level of lipase can develop a soapy or even a sour smell and taste, but is not harmful to the baby. My daughters had no issues with drinking thawed breast milk, but they preferred fresh.
