Are breastfed babies more 'needy'?

Question

I see a lot of posts saying how women can't leave their breastfed baby with anyone else (sometimes even the dad) to look after them because they won't settle and cry until the mum comes back? Is this true? Does this happen with bottle fed babies? 
Not slating BF! I want to do it. It just seems to be mentioned a lot on Glow.

I find the opposite actually. My son is always worse for me than for anyone else. If I’m having a particularly tough time with him and drop him at his grandparents for an hour of sanity he’s a little angel for them until I walk in the door with my delicious milk scent. Same thing if he is with my husband.

He’s been EBF for 8 mos and had maybe 10 bottles in his life.

I think the only reason some breastfed babies can’t be left with anyone else is just because mom is the source of food. If it were possible for dad or anyone else to whip a boob out and feed baby, they would be fine.
My daughter will take a bottle if she has to, but prefers drinking from the tap. I personally love that she prefers me over a bottle, but that doesn’t work for every mom or every family. I don’t think it makes them needy to want to be close to their food source 🤷🏻‍♀️

No, my firstborn was breastfed and he actually preferred his dad, still does. I'm still breastfeeding my second son and he is perfectly content with anyone who holds him

Not at all. My daughter is EBF and just now is able to take a bottle. I’ve left her for an hour and have left her overnight and she never cries. She’s always happy, whether I’m near her or not. Boobs are comforting for them, but my daughter personally doesn’t need them to settle down. She’s always been good at self soothing.

It has been true for my children. My son never did well breastfeeding and he weaned to formula around 8 weeks. He was exclusively formula fed at that point. He was always super easy going and really didn't care who had him as long as his needs were being met and he was getting attention. 
My daughter is breastfed and she is super opinionated about who has her. She definitely settles better for me than anyone else. My husband hates for me to leave our daughter with him because he struggles to settle her. My mother can usually settle my daughter for awhile but eventually my daughter wants me and no one else will do. 
I don't know if breastfeeding is really part of why my children are different. It could just be their personalities.
