Any real estate agents/ gurus out there?
When putting in an offer on a home, how much can you take off from the asking price? (Maybe 5%?) I know it depends on the market and comps and lots of other factors....Just asking for a very general rule of thumb.
If you want details...there’s a home we want to offer on. We aren’t desperate and obviously want a good deal. Original listing price was at the very top of our budget at $650k. After being on the market for a couple months, they reduced the asking price to $625. It’s an acreage property so even though the market is still pretty hot where I live the acreage properties just seem to move slower. Wondering if offering $600k would be a good starting point. We are working with an agent, just would like a general second opinion.
