Am I wrong?

My boyfriend stays over pretty much every night in the apartment i share with my other two friends/roommates. We were visiting a girl friend literally 200 ft away in a nearby building until about 12:30 AM. It was late at this point but my boyfriend was still awake waiting for me to come home. He texts me and asks if our friend can drop the 3 of us off out of fear that something bad will happen to us on the walk back to the apartment (like some dudes jumping us or rape or something, which has been happening kind of often in nearby areas in this city). I told our friend I didn’t wanna make her drive us because then she would have to drive back and walk (like 10 ft but still) to her apartment herself, so i said the 3 of us would just walk. He was upset and did not want us to walk but also said that he was home early so he shouldn’t have to go pick us up because he made plans to be home early so he could be in bed and ready to sleep at a decent time. I told him if he really had this much concern about our safety he could’ve picked us up himself and that was his answer.

Am I wrong for deciding to walk or thinking he should’ve picked us up?
