There's no room in a relationship for jealousy?

I am not a jealous person whatsoever but on the other hand my boyfriend tips the scale on jealousy. I think there's no room in a relationship for jealousy. I just think it's very immature and it only causes problems and definitely not cute lol 😬

Jealousy is an irrational emotion. If people can deal with it and move on, then it’s fine. If they don’t and instead let their actions be ruled by an irrational emotion, then that’s a problem.

There’s a difference between jealous and territorial 
Territoriality vs. Jealousy
A lot of people think that being territorial in a relationship is the same as being jealous. That is not true. There are distinct differences between territoriality and jealousy. Jealousy is a negative trait, territoriality is a positive trait. Jealousy stems from fear and insecurity. The focus of jealousy is actually yourself. A bit of jealousy handled appropriately is somewhat normal but full crazy jealous would be a no to me. It's the difference between, him noticing someone noticing you and feeling like "My girl is pretty and other people know this, I better treat her well because she can find someone else" and "That guy was checking her out I better tell her that she's not aloud to leave the house without me" A little jealousy can remind someone not to take you for granted and full blown crazy jealous has the potential to turn into a controlling abusive relationship.

In terms of a relationship, jealousy is like a protective instinct over someone you love. It’s really normal for people to get jealous if someone’s being a little bit too friendly with your other half, but it’s how you deal with it that matters. I’d actually be really annoyed if there was a guy trying it on with me and my boyfriend wasn’t arsed about it! 
Me and my boyfriend never get full blown jealous with each other, he does his own thing and I do mine and we’re really open with each other. The only time I’ve ever gotten jealous was when he was out drinking and these girls were trying to hit on him and his friend. He told me about it and whilst I was a bit miffed about it I knew he’d told them who I was and that was that. 
Off the scale jealousy is never good though. Definitely no place for that.

I guess you have to decide if that’s a trait you can live with. If it’s that bad, it’s unlikely to change. Maybe it softens a little once he feels more secure in your commitment to each other. But probably not much at all. So is that something that you can learn to deal with, if not embrace? I loathe the way my husband quickly blames me when he can’t find something like I’ve hidden it from him (and then he usually finds it two seconds later). I’m super sensitive when he acts like that. But I knew it before we got married and it was something I could live with. If he were belligerent in blaming me and started calling me names and yelling at me and whatnot, it wouldn’t have been something I could live with and I wouldn’t have married him. Not that you’re necessarily discussing marriage. I don’t know. But just staying with your bf even.
