Breastfeeding troubles

I have a one month old baby now and I feel like everything that could go wrong with breastfeeding has gone wrong. I’m feeling so defeated. I had horribly blistered cracked nipples that took two weeks to heal (using a nipple shield), engorgement, mastitis. I did the tongue tie procedure today in hopes I could stop using the nipple shield hoping the procedure would solve all problems. My nipples are already sore again and I know she’s not latching right. I feel like using the shield made things worse since she didn’t need a good latch to feed with that. 😫 I made a lactation consultant appt. I’m sitting here crying feeling terrible for my baby having the procedure and it possibly not even working or being necessary
