My brother in law is young, he stayed and is pretty close to the coast.
What’s it looking like over there ?

I’m from Panama City beach and left as soon as they said we were in a mandatory evacuation zone. If he’s more inland and not in an evac area, he should be ok as long as he’s bunkered down well and ready

I am not in the path of Hurricane Michael, but I just want to say that I am praying for everyone who is 🙏🏾 May God protect you all. My husband and I have a house full of relatives right now, but we would much rather for them to be here with us safe and sound plus our 11-month old daughter is enjoying the company haha. My aunt lives in Andalusia, Al and they are predicted to have damaging effects so she came to stay with us until it's over. My husband's cousin lives in Pensacola, but she and her two children are here with us as well. My husband's parents live in Phenix City, Al and they are predicted to have LOTS of rain, maybe some damaging effects, and power outage so they are with us as well. My parents live in Madison (North Alabama) so they are safe, but like us, they have opened their home to several family members. They also have a vacation home in Destin and we are praying it is not damaged, but we will see. My husband and I both have friends from college who live in Mobile, but some have evacuated to their hometowns and the others insists they will be safe. We tried to get them to come stay with us since we have plenty of room, but they insist on staying in Mobile. We are praying they will be safe. We have our generator ready in case of power outage and we have plenty of food. Again, I am praying for everyone's safety 🙏🏾 Please be safe! I hope everyone evacuated to safety, whether it's to family member's home, friend's home, hotel, etc.
