Is my cut infected or just sore

Hey guys. Basically I have a cut on my leg , wouldn’t say it’s that deep but when it happened I could see bits of yellow if that makes sense 😂 it’s about the size of my little finger length wise. I just wiped away the blood with tissue and let the blood clot on its own didn’t use anything on It.

I can’t get a photo cause I’m in public and it’s on my thigh on the outside above my knee.

It’s quite painful when I walk around and abit red around the edges sometimes a little warm other times normal temp. I did this cut last Friday & it’s a little painful still so I’m wondering is it infected or just sore because of where it is? There isn’t any puss or anything. Hurts a tad when I press on it.

Any help would be appreciated
