Gestational diabetes

So today I got tested for gestational diabetes. I was wonder how soon you find out after testing if you have it or not, I went in at 8:45 this morning to get tested and got done around 11:00. I was told I will find out at my next appointment, is that true or will I find out the next day? Also I’m very concerned because my dads side has diabetics and boarder lined diabetics and wondering if my chances are high on having gestational diabetes. I’ll take any info I can get online isn’t helping me so I figured I’d ask people who have gone through it. Thank you in advance!!!!
