Why does this happen during backshots??

So sometimes when I have sex backshots feel totally normal and good. On other times it doesn’t hurt but it just feels like his penis is hitting my cervix or something and it kind of makes me hold him back so he won’t do it. This only happens at certain times. Other times it doesn’t feel like he’s hitting my cervix so it just depends really. Why does this happen?

During certain times of your monthly cycle, your cervix is positioned lower & is more open, thus can be more likely to experiance discomfort during sex.
Another possibility is the angle of penetration: on hands & knees, butt up & upper body tilted down, laying flat on stomach, feet in floor & upper body bent over bed, standing, spooning, etc. are all different angles you could try to see what's most comfortable.
