Hand pain.

I’m 31, and I’ve noticed for the past couple of years, every once in a while upon waking, my hands hurt. I would say the pain is generally a 4 on a 1-10 scale. Never thought too much of it, and thought my pain was due to weather changes. A couple of weeks ago, I stayed with my parents for a couple of days visiting and woke up to excruciating pain in both hands. I couldn’t make a fist, I couldn’t pour my daughters cereal or fix her hair..My sister kindly helped me, but it was scary. This went on for 2 and a half days. The pain also radiated to my forearms and I lost 2 days of sleep. I tried soaking them in epsom salt and the hottest water possible, I took pain relievers and nothing happened. Anyone else experience this or have any info/ideas as to what his could be? Thanks!!
