Can you get diarrhoea from holding in a poop?

I have before! There’s been times when I’ve really needed to go but held it in for a LONG time, then it’s like my body dissolves it so my stomach starts bubbling and then when I finally do go it’s loose, it’s never got to a point where I couldn’t hold it though.
