Do you let your child eat/drink in their car seat?

I’m having trouble deciding between convertible car seats. Of the ones I like, two of them have double cup holders (Graco Extend2Fit & Graco 4Ever$ and the other has none (Britax ClickTight-my fav so far)
I’m trying to see how common it is to not let kids eat or drink in the car, thus not necessarily needing the cup holders.

I used to but not anymore. My older kids are 9 & 11 and a 10 yr old dayhome, and I'm tired of garbage being left in the car. I take out carseats and there's so many crumbs. So just no more lol

Get the cup holders! We have the Graco Extend2fit and the 4 ever. Both are great car seats. My toddler brings her cup with her and needs the holder plus she puts toys in her holders. Both are easy to take apart and clean. We will be getting both of these again when our second baby outgrows the infant seat.

No. It’s dangerous. If a child starts to choke on food or drink they are strapped in in the backseat and it will take you a while to get to them, instead them, and assist them. That’s if you even notice they are choking. My husband was in the backseat with our 3 year old son and gave him his kids meal from Burger King (I didn’t know he did I was driving) and all the sudden my husband is yelling at me that he’s gagging and then threw up. Then I find out it’s cause he was letting him eat. I told him I never feed him in his car seat and told my husband not to do that again. I wasn’t mad at him I just explained the dangers and he agreed our kids shouldn’t eat while they’re still in car seats.

Drinks, yes. Food, never ever. It's a huge choking hazard. As for cup holders, I've never want a car seat that doesn't have them. We put toys in our daughter's and little things that she can play with when she's in the car (in addition to her sippy cup). Cup holders are a must to me. And we have and love the Graco Extend2Fit for our daughter.

I had a car seat that didn’t have a cup holder and it didn’t really bother me but then we purchased a new car seat and it did come with double cup holders and I was so thankful for them... big game changer! Get the cup holders! So worth it.

I have the britax boulevard clicktight. You can get a cup holder. I have one.

I know how you feel, especially with my new Infiniti. Lol. We have the Extend2fit. My son only drinks water from his tommee tippee straw cup (which is fairly leakproof).  Since about 16 months he could place his cup in the cupholder while he was in the seat. 
I dont permit eating in my car.
