What to do with my toddler when In the hospital giving birth to # 2

I am currently pregnant with my second child 14 weeks on Wednesday...  I have a two-year-old daughter that will be almost 3 by the time I have this baby.. my question is what did everyone do with baby number one while they were giving birth to baby number two? All of our parents and grandparents work full-time jobs so if it is during the week we won’t have anyone to watch her during the day. She is not in daycare and I really don’t know what else to do with her other than to have her at the hospital with us but do hospitals usually let you have other children there for the whole stay? New to this obviously lol HELP

Many hospitals do not let children below a certain age in the room during labor. We had a similar situation with our second pregnancy. When we went in the nurses told me that if our babysitter (SIL) didn’t arrive before I had the need to push them my husband would have to leave the room with our first born child while I pushed alone.

Check your hospital policy. Mine allows children to visit but not stay over.

My parents are going to take off of work to watch my daughter. I'm extremely lucky though.

My husband is currently deployed and gets home Friday. Im 38 weeks today. We live 2.5-4 hours from family so the plan is for his parents to come up when we’re in labor and watch our two year old. The midwives told me to bring her with us and we will make it work until family arrives.

Our plan is hoping I go into labor during daycare and someone can pick him up at the end of the day, but if it happens at a different time my mom and my sister will be on-call to babysit. They’re the ones who live close enough and they can take sick days.

So I’m having a csection, but even if vaginal my hospital doesn’t allow baby in Labor & Delivery Ward.  My sister and a close friend are watching my son (19 months old) when I go in for my csection.  My husband will be going home with our oldest at night and returning in the AM to
Visit.
 
My hospital only allows siblings to visit during visiting hours, so I’m assuming I will be solo with the newborn a lot more than with my first, but I really feel my son needs one of us.  🤷‍♀️. There will be nurses to help during my recovery time, so I just plan on using them to help me as I need it.

With my son born in July 2017 my daughter was 8 she stayed with my mother (who we’d been living with any way) they ended up going to Maine while I was in the hospital 😡. I will be having my 3rd scheduled c-section on the 26th, my 15 month old is staying with my brother and SIL. My daughter is staying with my mother. I’m having it on a Friday so my brother and SIL will be taking my son the night before (so we don’t have to bring him at 5am) and will keep him until I’m released on Monday. My daughter will also be at my mothers the same time frame. Everyone is taking time off from work to watch the kids so my fiancé can be with me. If my family was not available then he would be staying home with the kids and coming up during visiting hours with them. Our local hospitals do not allow you to have older siblings stay over night.

We're planning on making up a rotation for who can have our son. Before we were even pregnant they were arguing who would get to keep him over night.

I will have one our in-laws or my mom take the day off. As long as they tell the job ahead of time I couldn’t imagine it being an issue

My son will be 14 months when I give birth in a few months to our second baby. Both my parents and my husband’s parents work full time and my son is in daycare during the week. However, I want him to come visit after the baby is born same day. My parents have both said they’ll take the day off work if necessary to care for my son. They did the same when I had him so they could be there for me if needed/see the baby whenever he was born. So tht is our plan.
