I have 4 SIL all older than my husband.

Out of all of them only the oldest has a child so far. A boy.

We had our daughter about 2 years ago. My 2nd SIL is currently due with a girl in 2 months.

My MIL is very baby hungry and so excited for her granddaughter to arrive. I’m currently 20 weeks and we just found out it’s a boy! Yay!!!

I thought 2 boys and 2 girls would excite them. But, no! Everyone is sooooo disappointed that we are having a boy. Besides my husband and I... and my SIL who is pregnant. She claims I stole her thunder.. bla bla bla. And is glad it’s a boy so she at least has that. A story for another time 😂

I’m shrugging it off, but I’m also wondering if this is a common problem? I bet they’ll be head over heels once they meet him. The other grandson is 10 so it’s been a while since there’s been a boy. Is this common?

I’m ignoring their protests at my son being a boy. But, I honestly don’t get it.
