Eva Ryan came into this world on October 12, 2018 at 36+6 weighing 7lbs 3oz. My due date was moved around multiple times, so my midwife thinks there was an error possibly with one of my earliest ultrasounds. We went in for our regular 37 week appointment, my midwife checked me and I was already 5 cm dilated. Began having regular contractions shortly thereafter and miss Eva was born perfectly healthy less than 8 hours later. My sister and my husband were the only ones at the hospital with me, to help keep me relaxed as parts of my family can be difficult. They were both such a huge help during the entire labor and delivery process and I couldn’t ask for a better first birth experience, all natural in less than 8 hours with no external tearing is definitely a dream labor, not saying it wasn’t difficult but I know I’m extremely lucky compared to most first timers.
