Tubal right after delivery?

Question

I have decided that I will be getting a tubal after my second daughter is born and I talked to my doctor about it today and she said they can do it right after I give birth or the next day? Anyone else do it that quickly? Do you have to stay longer in the hospital? How long will I be away from my newborn after surgery? And lastly what did they prescribe for the pain because I plan to breastfeed and want to see what options I can ask for.

Ok so I ended up in an unexpected c section, but my dr and I discussed this at length, this was my plan. 
Yes if you have an epidural they can do it right then. 
You don't have to stay longer in the hospital 
You'll feel sore/achy but otherwise ok
They give you motrin, if it's very uncomfortable they can give you oxycodone  (which is what they give you after a c section)

I am getting my tubes tied when I have my lil boy (I'm 32 weeks) and they told me that they will do it either shortly after I have the baby or the next morning depending on when I give birth.
