What's your life story?

Question

I often wonder what people's life story is as i walk or drive past them and what experiences have shaped them to be who they are today. It's very intriguing to know that someone can experience the same struggles and turn out differently and have a different outlook on life.

Answer

I was born crack cocaine addicted. I lived with my birth mother for 2 years of my life but at one point, someone called CPS on her and I was removed from her arms. I was put in the system with wonderful old foster parents. I was blessed to have been adopted at 3 by beautiful parents. From there I was bullied a lot as a child mainly because of my skin color and it really started when I was in elementary school. I had people come up to me telling me my skin was dirty and I needed a better soap to wash it off. I was also bullied for having all white siblings and parents. I grew up filled with anger at my birth mom. I was on so many different types of medication growing up from age 3-18 for ADHD, bipolar disorder anxiety and depression. I’ve been misdiagnosed 6-8 times in my life. I was bullied more in middle school and high school for being ugly and nerdy and for my curly hair. A majority of those years I always went home crying and during the summers I wouldn’t do anything but read in the house. I had no friends until 7th grade. My life was definitely not the best but it could have been way worse. There’s way more of this to hear I’m actually writing a book about it.
