Heating blankets. Are they safe during pregnancy?

I’m always freezing. I work from home and like to wrap myself in a heating blanket while I work. And sometime sleep with one during the night. Is this safe during pregnancy? There are 3 different settings. Low. Med. High.

I think as long as you’re not over heating and it’s not direct contact with belly you’re fine. My midwife told me heating pads are okay on low for short periods of time if I was in a lot of pain so I’m sure a blanket is okay.

I heard as long as your body temp doesn’t increase to much. I use a heating pad cause I’m always cold and I have it on med.

I’ve been told by doctors that heat pads are okay, but not blankets, and to NEVER sleep with one. You don’t want to apply heat to where the fetus is, and if you fall asleep you can not monitor your internal body temp. If your internal body temp rises too high, it can harm the fetus. They also say use it on the lowest setting possible that still relieves your pain.

I'd say on medium but definitely not on high and only when it's cold around you.
