Long story short. My son is 17 months. He was put in early intervention at 8 months when I asked the health nurse to visit because I thought he was behind on all of his motor skill developments. Anyways he started physio and was putting under a ped clinic. The pediatrictan said she wanted to get him an MRI just as a precaution and we were put on a waiting list.. No reason to worry. Anyways fast forward to now. We moved countries and requested our sons medical notes so that he could start physio etc in the new country.. (physio was really helping him) finally got his medical notes this week and it says that my son has Diplegic cerebral palsy and they're just waiting for the MRI to confirm.. I'm shocked that they kept this from me for so long and didn't mention it once to me! Shocked that if I didn't ask for his medical notes I would have never know.. and nervous for my sons road ahead. If anyone has any experience or advice.. please... I would appreciate it.
